Privacy Policy

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect on 25 May 2018, and this Privacy Notice identifies the personal data Jealott’s Hill Community Landshare CIC (JHCL CIC) holds for an organisation or individual and what it is used for. The lawful basis for JHCL CIC processing personal data is legitimate interests, in other words JHCL CIC requires this personal data in order to communicate with the organisation or individual for the specific purpose of their participation at Jealott’s Hill Community Landshare.

Email (Electronic Mail)

JHCL CIC uses a mailing list to send out information about:

  • Volunteering opportunities
  • Events
  • News

Email is our preferred method of contact with organisations. Jealotts Hill Community Landshare CIC’s electronic mailing list comprises contact details for each organisation or individual, specifically:

  • Organisation name/Individual name
  • Primary contact name
  • Email address(es)
  • Postal address
  • Contact telephone number(s)
  • Areas of interest and involvement

Data Sharing

None of this contact information is shared with any other organisation or sold for marketing purposes.
Contact information is also stored within Eventbrite. Eventbrite is the platform used to manage invitations to ticketed events. The following details are held there:

  • Organisation name/Individual name
  • Primary contact name
  • Email address(es)

Mailing List Management

Every member of the mailing list will have specifically asked to join it, either by contacting JHCL CIC directly or by applying to be a JHCL CIC member. Email addresses are not used for any other purpose or passed to any third party.

Should you at any time wish to remove your organisation or yourself from our list, please let us know by either replying to one of our emails or by emailing jealottshilllandshare@gmail.com. We will remove you from the list and delete your contact details within 2 weeks of your request.

Data Use

Any data we hold is held solely to enable us to send information as identified above and nothing else. We will not use your data in any other way. We will not use your data for a new purpose which you did not expect us to do. We will NEVER share your data with any third parties.
