Group Support Services

We offer Group Support Services for individuals and groups who want to get involved in gardening, land maintenance, or community projects. Whether you’re joining our regular volunteer days or organising a group event, we provide staff support and all necessary equipment to ensure a productive and enjoyable experience.

Community Guided Visits

Come and discover Jealott’s Hill Community Landshare with a guided tour of our beautiful 6.5-acre community garden.

Whether you’re part of a local community group, gardening club, residents’ association, school, charity or simply a group of friends, our guided visits provide an opportunity to explore the site, learn about our work and discover how horticulture, biodiversity and volunteering benefit our local community.

During your visit you will:

• Learn about the history and purpose of the Landshare.
• Explore our orchards, wildlife areas, growing spaces and community facilities.
• Discover how we support wildlife, sustainable growing and community wellbeing.
• Find out about our volunteering opportunities and community projects.
• Ask questions and learn how you or your organisation can get involved.

Booking Information

Community guided visits are available by prior arrangement and usually last around one hour, although the visit can be tailored to suit your group’s interests.

Price £5 per person (Minimum booking charge: £25)

 

Group Growing Plot 

Our Group Growing Plots offer various sizes of growing spaces, from individual raised beds to large communal plots, ideal for those who want to grow their own food. Whether you’re an individual, family, or group, we have a space to suit your gardening needs. All plots come with access to the site and shared GGP tool shed.

Workshop Hire (Green Shelter)

The Green Shelter is available for hire for workshops, classes, and events. Located in a peaceful, green setting, the shelter is perfect for groups looking for a space for educational activities, team-building events, or community gatherings. When hiring the space, you’ll also have access to facilities like toilets, a tea room, and a site assistant to support your event.

Corporate Social Responsibility – How to get involved

We offer two Corporate Sponsorship options for businesses looking to support Jealotts Hill Community Landshare, engage their teams in meaningful volunteer activities, and contribute to their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.

STAFF COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERING DAYS

  • Up to 30 staff participants on an agreed date
  • Tools and appropriate supervision provided by JHCL
  • Tea, coffee, and on-site facilities available for volunteers

Suggested Voluntary Contribution: £100

ANNUAL SUPPORT PACKAGE

  • Site open to staff for individual volunteering opportunities
  • One private event per year for staff and their families (catering not included)
  • Access to the site for wellbeing and restorative visits during normal opening hours
  • Recognition and endorsement on the JHCL website and social media channels
  • Opportunity for staff to access group growing plots (available for an additional fee)

Contribution Requested: £1,000 per year, with a discounted rate available for a 3 year commitment
