Volunteering

We can provide a range of volunteering opportunities. It’s not all about digging!

Whether you are looking for a post-retirement hobby, are in-between jobs and want to keep busy, want to learn some gardening and DIY skills or are recovering from a physical or mental health difficulty we are here to help you.

Here are just some of the ways you can get involved –

  • Preparing beds for growing vegetables
  • Sowing seeds and potting up and planting out
  • Learning about propagation
  • Maintaining our extensive apple orchard
  • Fixing things and making stuff
  • Helping keep the grass neat and tidy
  • Assisting at our open days and events – we love to have good bakers to make cakes!
  • Administration support on filing, posters, invoicing and social media updates
  • Photo and video content to enliven social media
